I was looking at the weather in Ohio the other day as my mother-in-law lives there. I was using web cameras operated by the Department of Transportation and it got me to thinking that this could be a good way to gather intelligence.

If the power stays on and you have computer / Internet capabilities you could look at weather cams in any of the 50 States by going to the link:  State Traffic Webcams: http://www.leonardsworlds.com/traffic/traffic_camera_directory.htm

Click on the state and go from there. Most have the major areas covered, where there are expected to be traffic problems but some have back roads as well.

It might be worth studying your area now and looking at your bug out routes to gather some intelligence on the normal, day-to-day, road conditions and also how the traffic flows all year long.

Living in Hawaii I check the Honolulu Traffic Cams daily before I leave work and sometimes when I come home.

It might help!

I love living in these United States of America!

2nd Admendment

I sit back and listen to what everyone is saying about gun control in light of the school shooting.

I am a firm believer in the 2nd amendment!

It does not matter if you think a hunter should not need 30 rounds to kill something in the woods.

If someone passes all the state and federal requirements then they should be able to possess anything they want to.

I feel, I said "I", as I am speaking only for myself, part of the 2nd amendment is written to protect the citizens from the government.

The 2nd Amendment to these United States Constitution:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

In 2008 and 2010, the Supreme Court issued two landmark decisions concerning the Second Amendment.
In District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008), the Court ruled that the Second Amendment protects an individual's right to possess a firearm, unconnected to service in a militia and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home. In dicta, the Court listed many longstanding prohibitions and restrictions on firearms possession as being consistent with the Second Amendment.
In McDonald v. Chicago, 561 U.S. 3025 (2010), the Court ruled that the Second Amendment limits state and local governments to the same extent that it limits the federal government.
It seems everyone has something to say about preparedness. This is my say!

My preparedness is just to protect my family and property. That is how it got started and I am progressing from there.

Raising a small garden, very small garden, self defense, and communications are a part of what I do everyday to be prepared.

I'm not preparing for anything specific, just preparing.

I rarely use foul language and don't appreciate those who do. So if you leave a comment that is inappropriate then I will delete it. You are free to say all you want as I believe in free speech but if you harass someone or use foul language it will be deleted.
