World Events. The United States must act!

I have been watching the world with a lot of interest lately and let me tell you something....I’m getting a little nervous!

Isis needs to be destroyed. No questions asked and we don’t need to worry about being humane.  Burn them, bury them, hang them or cut off their heads, just kill them. Don’t put them in jail, just kill them. But we Americans are weak and to nice to be brutal to them. Sickening! Whip them off the face of the earth and anyone that agrees with them. They are doing what the Nazi’s did and we are letting them get away with it.

Christians are being hunted down like the Jews have been for years. We need to stand with the Jews and back Israel and let no religious be decimated against any longer. Put God back in our lives and follow him!  The Atheist can not be allowed to win any longer. From our schools to our government, Atheist are destroying the United States. If you believe in God or you don’t believe in God, you really can’t argue that God fearing people treat others with dignity and respect and that is what the world is missing. We no longer treat each other nice.

I’m trying hard to trust the government but they are making it harder and harder. All the people who are getting hand outs make it harder for the people to move away from the government. (It is hand outs, call it what you want and get mad about it, but it is handouts). The more you get from the government the easier it is for them to control you and that is what they want. They want a populace that is controlled easy. A populace that has not firearms or ammunition. A populace that is not prepared for anything and just wants on the government to solve their problems. Remember Hurricane Katrina and the Superdome in New Orleans?

If you look at the port slowdown on the Pacific coast and how it will impact business in the US then you should be able to see that their will be an impact and that impact will be passed along to the customers. If you don’t have a stockpile of preps then you can be caught short. Look at the ship traffic and how it is stacked up here. https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/

Seems like a perfect opportunity to strike at the ports with 36 ships waiting offshore.

Prophets of Doom

I watched an interesting show on the History Channel tonight called Prophets of Doom.

Economic Doom, Oil Doom, Water Doom, Food Doom, and Technology Doom? Which one are you most concerned about?

I think the argument can be made about water and food.

My order would be: 1. Water, 2. Food, 3. Economic, 4. Oil, and 5. Technology.

It is a interesting show and I hope it gets viewed by as many people as possible.

REPUBLIC vs. DEMOCRACY

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,
and to the Republic for which it stands,
one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

SUMMARY
In the Pledge of Allegiance we all pledge allegiance to our Republic, not to a democracy. "Republic" is the proper description of our government, not "democracy."

A republic and a democracy are identical in every aspect except one. In a republic the sovereignty is in each individual person. In a democracy the sovereignty is in the group.

Republic. That form of government in which the powers of sovereignty are vested in the people and are exercised by the people, either directly, or through representatives chosen by the people, to whome those powers are specially delegated. [NOTE: The word "people" may be either plural or singular. In a republic the group only has advisory powers; the sovereign individual is free to reject the majority group-think. USA/exception: if 100% of a jury convicts, then the individual loses sovereignty and is subject to group-think as in a democracy.]

Democracy. That form of government in which the sovereign power resides in and is exercised by the whole body of free citizens directly or indirectly through a system of representation, as distinguished from a monarchy, aristocracy, or oligarchy.

[NOTE: In a pure democracy, 51% beats 49%. In other words, the minority has no rights. The minority only has those privileges granted by the dictatorship of the majority.]

California Port Strikes impacts Hawaii?

This slowdown in work doesn't impact Hawaii as they are under a different contract. Give me a break! Unions stick together and in Hawaii the impact is so far been very little.

Something to think about is how dependent the State of Hawaii is on outside goods. We can't drive to get to the next state. Goods have to been shipped or flown in to Hawaii.

This is a very good reason to be prepared at all times.

"The congestion crisis has been most pronounced at the twin ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, the nation's two busiest cargo hubs, where marine officials reported 11 ships anchored on Thursday waiting for berths to open.

The number of freighters kept waiting outside the two ports has fluctuated from about eight to 18 on any given day since the slowdown began there around mid-October, said Phillip Sanfield, spokesman for the port of Los Angeles.

Smaller backups have hit other West Coast ports, including Oakland, California, and the ports of Seattle and Tacoma in Washington state.

The slowdowns have coincided with prolonged labor talks between 20,000 dockworkers and the Pacific Maritime Association, representing terminal operators and shipping lines at 29 West Coast ports. Their latest contract expired June 30."

Have that 30 day, better yet, 90 days of supplies on hand in case of a hiccup in the shipping system.

This is a man made slowdown. Think about if it was a problem with the weather or a terrorists attack on the port of California? How long would you have to be on your own then.

What Coins to Save

The key years to remember are:

-1964 was the last year for 90% silver dimes and quarters.
-1981 was the last year for 100% copper pennies.

I DO NOT recommend saving any post -1964 quarters! They each only have about 3.7 cents worth of copper.

And frankly, pennies are not worth the time to sort, unless you have a sorting machine.

You should save ALL nickels, since they each have about 5 cents worth of copper and nickel, and that value will likely rise.

(Their composition hasn’t changed since 1945, but it will likely change in the next two years.)

Security

A lot can be said about what type of security you should have and you can never have too much security.

One of the easiest and fairly inexpensive could be a Dog. Man's best friend.

You may train the dog yourself or get it trained, either way you have to be involved in the training process and keep training once the official training is done.  A dog can be a great deterrence for home defense by barking at strangers and making themselves known to intruders. If your dog barks at a salesman at your door, don't tell the salesman that the dog is harmless. The salesman could be scouting out your place for a future robbery. Having a good Dog enables you to leave your home with little worry that it would be robbed while you are gone for the day or hours. Dogs can, and most often will, protect family members that may not be able to protect themselves. Young kids, seniors, or handicapped family members.

Dogs have incredible hearing and a sense of smell. They will alert before you even know something might be amiss. I believe dogs can sense if people are bad or good. (Just my opinion, nothing to back up that last sentence)

The cost of owning a dog would be the cost of the dog (You can find good dogs at Humane Society's across the US) shorts, vet bills, dog food, play items, treats, etc. But working with a dog has the added benifits of exericise when you walk or play with your dog.

All in all I think it would be prudent to get a good watch dog for your home and family.
